hi all, does anyone know why, with 90% of the stock splits ive looked at, the price of the stock barely moves??

eg the attached file shows the chart of a japanese stock with the date of a 100/1 split shown.
at this time an investor previously owning 1 share should, post split, own 100 shares and the price should be 100x lower, yet the price on the chart barely wobbles.

ive seen this many times on both the japan and u.s. stock markets.

am i missing something here?
thanks

This is on purpose. Most stock charting packages (including Tradingview) by default adjust the prices to the post-split shares. In other words, if a stock splits by 100, the next day the entire historical chart will be divided by 100 to show seamless transition through the split.

You are probably looking at split adjusted prices - data providers usually go back and adjust the historical prices to eliminate the gaps of splits.

Edit: I see this has been answered already, sorry.

Anyone know of a website that actively scans the web for lowest broker margin rates?

Question: I’m currently using Sierra Charts 5 and I’m thinking of actually purchasing NinjaTrader 8 and stop renting Sierra, can anyone answer if NinjaTrader 8 purchase Will be as, or easier to use?

Thanks!

Don’t. The technology is inferior and brokerage operations are horrific. Ex ninja client of ~6 years.

Attached is a simple indicator used to alert new hi and new low on the session. I have audio alerts that are specific to each market I trade. Have not used it in quite some time as it is coded for NT7. Anyone know how to update for NT8? Thanks!
