I can't speak as to why they only allow Midland, but I can say that my own experiences with Midland (directly, on my own, not via NTB) have been excellent.
I am not saying anything about Midland. I only know one person that uses them and he says they are great. Well, now I know of two people I guess.
This is the first time I have had a broker use the term "must" with a particular custodian. I have seen "prefer" or "recommended", but they will usually work with any custodian. I know both the FCM they use will take different custodians, so I think I must be missing something.
This is not correct and apologize for the miscommunication from our team. The final approval of all accounts, including IRAs, is done by the FCM but we accept IRAs from many custodians. We do recommend Midland because we have an excellent relationship with them and the feedback from customers is positive. I have PM'd you to assist further.
Risk Disclosure: Futures and forex trading involves significant risk of loss and is not appropriate for everyone.
I have a free version of NT (had it for years) and I can trade Live with it.
I just thought the free version had features stripped out of it eg you can't use Chart Trader and you can't edit or create indicators etc.
@xplorer - who is your broker? It maybe that you need Continuum credentials, which is just a white label of CQG, but is the version NT Brokerage promoted on the downfall of ZenFire.
