Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Hi everyone,
I have been trying to learn futures trading for sometime: mostly unsuccessful so far. Working on discipline issues. Glad to be here and looking forward to learning from fellow traders.
Thank you.
Welcome tadesheel
I can echo what you've written and I've been working on discipline too. Some good resources here and some wonderful, helpful contributors. Wishing you progress with the discipline issues.

Hi everyone!
My name is Andrey, I'm from Russia. I learn futures and stock trading using Linda Raschke book "Street smarts", her articles, videos etc. Now I use First Cross, Anti and Holy Grail patterns. Just discovered futures.io site. Looking forward to improve my trading skills and to learn in depth Linda Raschke trading technique.
Thank you.
I discovered futures four months ago after trading ETFs for several years. The shorter time frame forced upon me by the highly leveraged futures has been challenging to say the least. Getting a bead on market direction has been like herding cats. Nonetheless I managed to make $7000 in two weeks once I got the hang of it.
I read Market Wizards, took Adam Grimes course and thought I was doing well until the markets shifted. I lost everything I made and then some and have now switched to SIM. Luckily I did not wipe my account, unluckily I have no job now so the brokerage account has become my safety net until I find a job. Meanwhile, I am trading SIM everyday, doing very badly and happy it's not real money at present. I do like Big Mike's suggestion to trade ETFs if not enough Capital so I may do that as well once I see something good.
I question myself for wanting to learn a trade with a 95% failure rate, but I feel like I can do it given enough time. I watch the price action for hours each day and hope at some point it will tell me something good. Thanks for this site!
I've been planning on contributing to this site and helping other traders after I become a 'big success.' It hasn't happened yet, but I have gotten a lot better...I'm losing money more slowly. I figure that I do have some knowledge to contribute. I am focused on day trading the 1 minute and 5 minute NQ Nasdaq100 futures. I would say my major rules for beginners are common advice...always use and honor your stops, and find a way to define the trend then only trade with the trend.
hi everyone, and thanks mike for this site...
like everyone else, im new to trading, hope i can get some tip from everyone and hopefully can give my own tips and strategy to new members
Been trading for a while - still struggling - thinking about giving up - saw a link to your thread about giving up so thought I'd give your forum a try as a last effort to make a go of it!
