Exited the short at 0.10 yesterday but then I tried to exit the long at 0.03 and didn't get filled. I exited the long at 0.02 today. Strange that CL is up 1.20 today but the 80 call is trading at unchanged.
If I was able to exit yesterday at 0.07 the MROI would have been 3.2%.
HI Myrrdin, I am looking to open an account with Decaly trading for day trading futures. How as your experience been with them .Hate dealing with these big firms that are so impersonal .they seem like a small personal business . They seem to have great service so far . Any input on them would be great?
I fully agree with Ron. DeCarley trading offers the best customer service I ever had. I also use Gain and their software. Gain is average, but, as Ron states, Carley fixes all their mistakes and finds workarounds for most situations that the Gain software is unable to solve.
Just one (of many) example: The Gain software is unable to enter spread orders for options. But Carley places these orders, using another software. For a self-directed account without any extra cost.
I am currently holding the following positions in the short option portfolio:
LHJ C70
LCJ C126
LCJ P109
WH C4.3
I expect all options to expire worthless, and intend to take profit at 10 or 20 %. I will not be very patient if one of the options moves against me.
I sold the LCJ puts today, and I am happy to have a strangle now. Unfortunately I was not able to sell LH puts - I am looking at the LHJ P60 - at a reasonable price until now .
Just received a fill for the LHJ P60 at 1.00 . Could have waited for a better price, as my best guess for the final value of the future contract is 65. But currently volatility is high for this market ... (Wouldn't this be an excellent playing field for daytraders ?)
