Hi All,
I am relatively new to trading and I have sampled with Forex and Indices. I am blown away with the amount of scams on the internet that have done nothing but cost me money. I am looking for like minded people that are genuine that will give me support to get started and hopefully I can give the same back. I am interested automated trading only. As I don't know if I am able to trade all day in front of a screen. Or at least develop quality indicators that will allow me trade when I can. I am starting with the MT4.
It's been 110 days since I joined so I figured I'd come out of the dark and introduce myself. So I'm a mechanical engineer who resides in LA. While I was in college, I was introduced to the trading world by a friend of a friend (who is now a good friend of mine) early 2013. He was a successful options trader that has been averaging 10-20k/yearly while running his own property management business. Even though it wasn't much, that blew me away. I had to get in on what he is doing.
He spent countless hours pulling up thinkorswim charts and teaching how to trade options, introduced me to tasty trade, etc. After some practice on paper trading, I eventually funded a $3000 account and I was on my way. Of course, it didn't turn out the way I hoped it would. Long story short, I joined an options meeting in the LA area and the organizer (who is also a good friend and a mentor) introduced me to futures. I was hooked. Let's just say I was very lucky on my trading journey to have people constantly supporting and showing me the right direction.
My futures journey started with trading the 10 year treasury notes (ZN). I blew my account after a frustrating two weeks. However with all the support and consistent mentoring, I eventually saved up to trade the Emini S&P (ES) and was back at it again. After 6 months of intensely learning different strategies and implementing proper risk management trading ES, I was a zero sum trader but I didn't blow my account and to me that was a major achievement. I eventually moved to Crude Oil (CL) as I loved the volatility it provided. That was my calling. I like to stick to trading one futures product and CL was it. Besides that put on options trades on stocks. And that is my introduction guys. Looking forward to being more active here when time allows me.
Hello Mike and everyone,
I have been trading Forex since last 2 years, still a beginner. Came to know about futures.io when I was searching google for better understanding of Al brooks H1 H2 and L1 L2 from his book Reading Price action bar by bar book.
I purchased the book some time ago and couldn’t understand anything and started searching on the internet for the price action traders who are trading al brooks method/ strategy.
Been following the markets for decades. Read many books, spent quite a bit on newsletter subscriptions, courses and made a few stock/option trades here and there but have never really been committed to trading.
I have recently been following the work of Trisha @ Easy-Emini trades. I plan on learning/adapting her methodologies to trade the NQ and YM contracts.
Pleased to join the forum and look forward to learning how to be a successful trader.
Hi all. I'm new to the forum. I'm excited to learn and share here. 5 years experience, but still learning to get consistent. On my trading wall I have a sign that says I'm going to be wrong a lot, but I will not lose large. I will survive and absolutely destroy the winners that come my way. Be patient. Be confident. Be smart
Glad to be here.

oh and I'm trading NinjaTrader7 focused on Futures.
I've had an unrelenting curiosity about markets for ever since I can remember. There is something so gripping about trying to find the answer to what's moving a particular market or how markets will discount the outcome of an unknown event or even just engaging in the constant soul-searching required to decide whether your thesis is still correct. It all drives me, excites me and challenges me! I'm enthralled by performing the research, structuring the trade, being correct - or wrong and having to adjust on the fly, and ultimately making money!
I timed the November 2014 oil short damn-near perfectly! I mean luck could not have been more exactly on my side, my put position was even quoted in the FT! This occurred in tandem with some really successful calls on ECB QE and shorting Euro. The success and trading profits were earned rather quickly - despite working full-time as a coverage banker and trading after-hours and on my phone, and it went to my head a bit faster than would be ideal. Subsequent to these successes I had two personal crises pop up in my life. Sorting them out and fighting the Spring 2015 rise in oil was a very expensive and demoralizing endeavor. My fund lost >75% of its value and Draghi's more recent balk in expanded QE in December about leveled me out (+150k give/take). I'm back with a clearer mind, a renewed sense of purpose and a stronger discipline for risk management and "my system." I'm looking forward to meeting some like-minded folks, debating ideas, and learning!
I am new here, but been in demo for about 5 years now. Recently moved to the futures market, used to be in Forex.
Don't really have much to say, except ready to learn.
Hi all,
I've been demoing for approximately one year now and have recently gone live. Mainly focus on ES and NQ, scalping. Looking to get the most out of the site!
I'm self employed mainly doing work for events. Most of my income comes from being a corporate host.
I've always been interested in making money from trading and finally took tangible steps 4 months ago. I'm determined to make this my bread and butter so I'm ready to rumble.
