I'm still using RSqueeze with calc at close=true. Wondered if anyone ever worked out a sound alert for RSqueeze? It is frustrating to be distracted by something for a moment and miss. In my setup it's when the yellow dots appear. Would like to have a gentle pleasant sound (chime?) play until the dots turn blue. BTW the chart is of GC with RJay's RenkoSpectrum bars
Would it be just as good to plot average true range (ATR) in s sub panel, monitor for a relative minimum in ATR,
and monitor an oscillator or momentum indicator at the same time and get as good results as the
"Squeeze Indicator " ?
ATR has a lag built into it, so when the squeeze breakout triggers, the ATR response will be delayed by a number of bars.
Easiest way to do this is use the Bollinger Band indicator itself and look for the band's to narrow and go flat, followed by a fresh band breakout event and subsequent range expansion.
