They are. But these platforms, in my opinion, are for guys who are intermediate to advanced traders who
care about execution and speed. I do not think that beginners appreciate all the features until they really discover the in and outs of trading.
Thanks,
Matt

Thanks Matt. You're probably right. I know that Qtrader (the product I use) offers very good value and a number of things I haven't seen in other platforms. For instance I use often the DOM-triggered stop loss where you can set a liquidity threshold under which the stop will be triggered. A nice little feature that saved quite a few of my trades from being stopped out simply because priced touched that level. I am guessing TT may have something similar but not many others...?
Just an update on this-CQG does now have Volume profile. Not as good/easy to read as easyscreen/TT in my opinion but it is there grey area right hand side of DOM)
hi bootsyjam. Colours in the DOM are customizable. I have used Qtrader since 2014, they had volume profile at the time too. You're referring to the column that for my screenshot is at the very left for the DAX, right?
in TOS on stocks, I can go back in time.. put on a simulated trade.. and walk forward day by day to see the impact of vol, price etc on the calls, puts or even other option strategies
I know in IB Risk Navigator and Qtrader .. there is a what if.. meaning change variables but thats based on a position created today..
Can u go back in time and do the same?
Can we do the same for futures options in Q trader? Can some verify
a) can u move a window out of the page to a different monitor?
b) I create an option strategy - then how do i open a trade ticket with that?
c) which window will i roll an option assuming im already in the position?
