First of all, the two bugs that I had identified have been addressed with the release NT 7.0.1000.5. When I wrote my first post, I was not aware that a new overload had been added, which solves the problem.
Secondly that overload can also be used outside of OnBarUpdate() and works fine as tested.
Nobody is perfect, so I do not mind to post it here.
I will gradually replace all Session indicators in the download section. This includes CurrentOHL, SessionPivots, VWAP, RollingPivots, VolatilityBands, NoiseBands and OpeningRange indicators. The new versions V32 will use the new signature of GetNextBeginEnd(), so they will not run on all prior versions of NinjaTrader. You will need to install NT 7.0.1000.5.
The update is only necessary, if you use the indicator on shorter period tick, range, volume or Renko charts (charts built from ticks). The problem is caused by tick built bars, which have the same time stamp as the session open.
Thanks again to Josh from NinjaTrader support, who helped me understand the changes that were made.
Just having started getting into Ninja 7 I think some of you guys may be not seeing the forest for the trees. If you have used it for years I could see how the issues that would only effect a smaller % of the user base would be frustrating if they are messing with your own work but the scope of this project is really pretty amazing.
Everything else has pretty much been left in the dust IMO. By version 8 or 9 it will be game over.
I'm sure I will run into issues but that is only because there are things I should be able to do with Ninja that I wouldn't have even bothered to contemplate with other retail trading software.
Not running into bugs because you don't bother to do something with the software is not a "feature".
I sincerely hope you're right, but I really do fear that much of the (harder?) development that would make Ninja's existing aims into a serious professional product are less priority than stuff which helps bring in new customers. I'm not especially blaming them as a company if that is the case - that may be economic reality. It's a real shame though.
I should add as a disclaimer, I am mainly talking about automated trading through Ninja. I've no doubt that maybe discretionary chart based trading is more professional.

I'm a discretionary trader and I like the software. That doesn't mean that there aren't "glitches" and short comings.
A lot of software companies " let" their customers do their product testing and bug hunts for them.
The difference is, NT reacts badly when you try to tell them what you found ... and then they attempt to "kill the messenger".
I'm just a simple man trading a simple plan.
My daddy always said, "Every day above ground is a good day!"
I did not have a pre-release. The message typically appears only several days after the release is available. And as Ray announced the new release in days rather than weeks - see post below
When trying to load NT I am getting a message "Failed to verify license. Please try again in a few minutes". I am also unable to leave a message with Ninja Trader about this problem.

Any suggestions
Check your Internet connection; it may be acting bad.
