Hi all ,new to this forum but not to daytrading, traded 6E futures and E-MINIs as well as spot currencies, had a lazy couple of years due to other commitments but back in the swing of things now.
Started with spot EUR/USD on metatrader and will shift back to 6E at a later date.
Also interested in the DAX futures.
I use the one minute for fine entries with overall picture all the way to the weekly.
Interested in swing trading in conjunction with scalping or short term stuff.
Currently watching the Yen/Pound on the medium term.
Cheers to all peeps.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I've been trading futures on and off for about 20 years now. According to the forum, this is my first post after 2596 days! I find it an interesting hobby, but not something that I want to do for a living, and I don't think I would be good at it. OTOH, using the fighter pilot/aeronautical engineer analogy, I think I'm pretty good at creating trading systems. At work, I have the good fortune to be a machine learning developer at a large software company.
No - I haven't applied machine learning techniques to trading yet. To do machine learning correctly right now still involves quite a bit of work and a long pipeline. I have my hands full with my day job.
I'm married with 3 grown kids and 6 grand-kids. live in Raleigh, NC, USA
New to the board & not new to futures but always learning.
My name is Casey, I’m a futures broker working with GFFBrokers.
I’ve been working in the futures industry since 2006 and I’ve been a licensed broker since 2008, however, I also work on GFFBrokers order desk.
Tomorrow I’ll be hosting a webinar introducing GFFBrokers, you can learn more and sign up in the webinar section of this forum.
Outside of trading my interests include but are not limited to dogs, cats, superhero movies, and star trek.
Thanks for taking the time to read this post.
Hello, I'm new and will certainly browse around. Day trading can be a lonely profession so having an online community is great.
I do have a request about the Super Trend indicator for TradeStation. I see Big Mike has the code listed, but i was wondering if anyone had the ELD file available for download? I'm not a programmer so the raw code doesn't help me. Thanks, looks like a useful indicator.
Regards,
Terri
I use Ninja Trader and TOS for a trading platform. I Like to day trade the ES,YM
My equity curve looks like spaghetti
I blew up my account a few times while gaining my experience . I know that I have a bit more to learn and welcome any new Ideas.
I’m a firm believer that education never ends.
I look forwards to chatting and increasing our education.
My nameis Miguel and been trading on and off since 2002, mainly stocks and some warrants here and there. Never made a fortune and made lots of mistakes mostly related to money mamagement. However was able to keep green and pay some cacations at least Now want to learn about futures since ot always interested me despite being the opposite from by traditional buy and hold stock strategy.
Go back to trading live in Jan. If you blow up the account - dont give up, do whatever you have to do to continue trading.
Apply to a local propo shop and email them the spreadsheet of your trading journal when you do.
If you dont keep a journal, you are making a massive mistake in your trading already.
On top of that, you will never graduate to the next level without journaling and reviewing.
If you ever want to work for a prop shop you need to show your track record - even if you have massive losses.
