Rithmic does maintenance over the weekend as well. Please keep in mind.
Feed of one versus another is noticeable during active markets, not always on quite days.

Initially CQG, then added TT on second account and just added rithmic on 3rd account.
I have rithmic at Vision Financial and I find it to be very stable and do not remember any disconnects at all. Vision is good also.
Also, Rithmic is more stable on Multicharts for me. Multicharts has locked up several times while using cqg. Each time I had to remove or update the cqg API. I run Multicharts on another machine through Vision with rithmic feed and that would still be fine. I did notice that. It seems to run a little leaner on resources as I noticed 3 extra processes running when cqg is connected.
I am glad to have rithmic at AMP. Except there is no historical tick data with rithmic, that is a bummer.
I move funds between accounts easily on the portal with no problems.
I want to try Ninja with rithmic next because I get many disconnects with cqg on ninja also. I hope it is better.
They can be slow switching platforms. The trade desk took 3 days to switch main account to TT. Once you get that stuff set up, it shouldnt be an issue after that.
I have been demoing Ninja with Rithmic via Optimus/Vision for two solid straight weeks now during the live US and Globex sessions. Rithmic for me has proven to be stunningly more stable than I hate to say AMP/CQG. I am partial to CQG but seeing the periodic and constant disconnects it's a no brainner for me. You can always sign up for a free demo so you can see it for yourself.
Give Matt Z at OptimusFutures a call and he will get you all setup.
No historical tick data with Rithmic - is that using MultiCharts? Or do AMP not provide any historical tick data with Rithmic regardless of the platform?
My 2 cents on Ninja with CQG or Rithmic: I have been trialing Rithmic (Optimus) and CQG (AMP) all last week. I only had one disconnection and that was Rithmic at 1.30 in the morning USA ET on one week day. With the naked eye I could not tell the difference between the two feeds and the T&S detail was identical.
yes , There is no historical tick data through Multicharts and rithmic with AMP. Just one day.
It wont be a problem once I have rithmic up and running for a week and collect the data. But now I have to merge cqg data for backfilling. That ties up my cqg connection and I cant run Multicharts on the other machine with cqg.
I like to run a mirror setup on second machine for testing strategies.
I think it has to do with the feed and not AMP. Rithmic doesnt provide the tick data.
I get a half dozen disconnects a week on ninja with cqg. a couple that last over a minute and mess up running strategies. But that is part of it all too I guess.
There is no way I can live without historical data. ... looks like I'll be hanging with the AMP / NT / CQG bit
for a while. The connection drops have all but disappeared with my switch to a more robust business
internet connection. CQG seems to hate slow connections .
Yes, NT7 is able to access historical data (including tick I believe) from Rithmic. MultiCharts is not able to view historical data, I believe due to business reasons not technical.
