Six months later the problem is finally solved. We also fired the old developer and hired a new one
So, now the problems some of you guys had with editing Quick Summary should be resolved. A few reminders:
1) Quick Summary is post #2 on every thread (any new threads this year at least).
2) Anyone can edit Quick Summary, you do not have to be the original author of the thread.
3) The point of Quick Summary is to allow the entire GROUP to help keep the thread organized.
An example. Let's say we have "Bob's Method" thread, and within this thread is 25 indicators all over the place, and 12 chart templates, and 5 pdf files, and 3 posts with a lot of detail on how to use Bob's Method. The thread in total is 100 pages long (over 1000 posts).
It can be very hard to find stuff in a big thread. Enter Quick Summary. With Quick Summary, Bob, or anyone else, can just press the Edit button on the Quick Summary post #2 in the thread, and then link to relevant info. Perhaps they create something like this:
--- Welcome to Bob's Method. This Quick Summary will get you up and running. For everything else, please read the entire thread before asking any questions. ---
Indicators:
name of indicator, version number, and link to the post or link to Downloads section where it is posted
IndicatorA
IndicatorB
IndicatorC (etc)
How to trade Bob's Method:

I hope that gives you guys a clear understanding of what I was trying to accomplish six months ago when I asked the original programmer to write this feature for us. I think it can be a very powerful tool.
Some of you have been following along about the server problems and moving to a new server. Well the first part of that is now, I have just moved bmcharts.com to the current server. It will take a few hours for DNS to propagate but once bmcharts.com loads for you again, please report any problems.
bmcodex repositories are changing over to the new server, you may get errors for the next few hours as they are moved and the new DNS and IP's take effect.
The forum is now live on a new server in Chicago. A history lesson: For the first year, we were hosted in Dallas on a dedicated server. One month ago I wanted to upgrade the server and I moved to a new data center in Asheville. I had a friend at this data center and choose it solely because of that. It was a very bad experience, we've had downtime out of my control (data center problems) and poor bandwidth.
For the past 30 days, I've been searching for a replacement. I did an incredible amount of due diligence this time, because it is such an enormous headache to relocate a server.
Anyway, we are up live in our new home after about 2 hours of downtime this Friday night. Please report any problems.
For many months, we've been looking to add a wiki to our site. We've finally done that, and for the last several weeks I've been working on incorporating a wiki into futures.io (formerly BMT).
I'm not ready to talk about all the features or how to use it, etc. I just wanted to let you know that if you see some of your words in a post linked to a wiki article, like for example if I say the word backtesting right here, just ignore it for now. Only mods and above have access to view the wiki at the moment, so you'll get an error if you follow the link. Nothing to worry about, just give us more time before we make everything public.
Links to wiki articles now have a dashed underline border instead of solid underline, to differentiate them from normal links. Example: Gomi Volume Ladder.
