RIP Andy, my friend. Thank you Richard for keeping us informed.
Andy was a great person, always hopeful always looking to the future.
Richard if you would make a recommendation for a charity that researches and benefits Andy's disease, I would like to set up a donation drive on futures.io (formerly BMT) in his honor and memory.
Also, if there is anything we can do to help you or his family please let us know.
There are not many things you read on an internet forum that make you feel genuinely saddened but this news does. Although I only chatted to him a few times I will miss his enthusiasam. RIP Andy.
I did not know personally him but I heard a couple of times his webinar and read some of his post and after that is like you know a bit of a person and by sure it was "una brava persona"
I am very sorry Roberto
I just came across a nice article about Andy.. my mom is battling cancer as well, and I can say the one thing that helps her is what Andy talks about, hope and never giving up.
Andy Zektzer Leukemia Survivor
San Francisco, CA
Greater Bay Area/Redwood Empire
"Find out what makes you happy and do it!"
When Andy Zektzer was diagnosed with leukemia, he was in what he called, “the best shape of my life.” Somehow, despite the fact that the cancer robbed him of his health and many of his relationships, Andy refused to give up and gave himself the only gift he could give: hope.
Now a ten-year cancer survivor, Andy credits his dedication to devising a cancer-fighting strategy and never losing hope as the reasons he is alive today. That, and the fact that he is cantankerous, a character trait Andy’s oncology nurses told him would probably boost his survival.
“I decided to take control of my situation,” he says. “I set out to find as much as I could about my cancer. I went online and read everything I could. It is up to you to understand where you are at in this fight.”
Andy spent eight years battling cancer. “During this time,” he says, “I became involved with Relay for Life. Relay gave me an outlet during this very difficult time. I was able to work with others who were passionate in their efforts to fight for a cure, and help patients cope. Relay has helped me channel my energy in a more positive way and make a real difference.”

Never had the opportunity to talk to Andy. However I was a silent follower of his work like many. With a heavy heart and tears in my eyes, I bid him good bye. May GOD rest his soul in Peace. I am praying for the peace along with each and every member of the Big Mike Family.

Thanks

I know that Andy will be missed by many. I had watched a video that Andy had made I believe on You Tube and you can just tell the sincerity and passion he had with life and everything he did.
Andy and I had some great talks. He took an interest in me and really encouraged me to press on as a trader just as I was thinking about calling it quits. He said I was one of the few he'd me that he though could make it. And he backed up his words with action by really helping me understand some of the finer things about how markets move in certain areas.
In the end, I think he got a little peeved at me because I could not grasp fully what he was talking about. His mind worked in ways that were just way beyond my limited ability to follow......but the fact remains, he was a giving person and lived his life in a way many of could emulate.
My sincere gratitude for having known Andy and my deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Andy, you've made the ultimate trade.....this life for the better one to follow......thank you for your friendship. I am a better person for having known you if only for a few months.
