So my NJ got problem or their EOD data got problem ?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
If you have Excel then here are the OHLC for 6E 09-11. They all come from Kinetick and have double checked them with the CME. They are all accurate. The close in this Excel doc. represents the settlement price not the last price.
You first need to understand how NinjaTrader works. The Kinetick closing price for August 31 is 1.4377. As this is a futures contract and Kinetick a high quality feed it will not show the last traded price but the settlement price. Note that the settlement price on August 31 was 1.4377, whereas the last traded price was 1.4362.
The close of the session is August 31, 4:00 PM Central Time, which is the equivalent of the 5:00 PM close of the FOREX markets in New York. As you are located in Singapore, you are 12 hours ahead of New York and the session close translates to September 1, 5:00 AM Singapore time.
This simply means that the session of August 31 will be shown with a date of September 1 on your chart. Unfortunately our planet is round, and the sessions cannot be displayed otherwise.
In the end nothing seems to be wrong, but you do not seem to understand how data is processed and displayed. However, I have never set my system clock to Singapore time, so I would be interested to view your charts and check, whether they are correct or not.
If we are still talking about NT (because I didn't look through all of the posts), I would just like to say that after
downloading their latest update I lost all of the indicators that I have downloaded from futures.io (formerly BMT). Funny I still have the Felton indicators up and running, that it tells me is the problem.
Supports answer, "ask Felton".
All I did is update to the latest version.
Now I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to playing with software and downloading this and that but I did build a computer and have re built two trading workstations that give me no problems.
Good old TradeStation works fine.
Has anyone else had this problem with the last update?
The only probs that I have had with Ninja is with replay when I keep changing the date... this is tough for the database to keep track of. I have done several updates (always V7, never V6) and have never lost anything or had any hickups. I think that they have done a geat job of building and maintaining a very complex software system. As far as support, I find their support very good. I do phrase the question in a way that I will get the most help possible from them.
I can assure you that there is no WMD in Felton Trading that annilates all other indicators when NT is updated. There's a cool little feature in NT7 called Backup but few traders use it. It works beautifully.
We started out trying to code my methodology in TradeStation and managed to get it to do the basics. But we quickly hit bottom on Easylanguage's capability when we tried to do the extremely sophisticated stuff.
At that time (2009) their margins were $6000 per contract, commissions were $7 and support was arrogant and difficult to get. We knew there had to be something better for what we wanted to do.
We switched to NinjaTrader and it has made all the difference in the world.
Any futures.io (formerly BMT) Elite member having any issue with anything we provide them can simply send me an email and receive a personal detailed reply from our tech and programming dept.
