Like many have stated, lost more than a boatload trading. I'm on my last leg here. Have been looking, searching desperately for a place where I can trust the content that's being published. Thank you, Big Mike hopefully my stay here will be permanent.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
The name is Steve, and I'm new to the futures market.
My trading style is scalping, I've been trading options on AAPL, BABA, FB, NFLX, SPY for a few years now. Figured it was time to step it up.
I use a custom study in ToS to chart, base my entries off a weighted 11MA and modified MACD, and exits off only the 11MA.
This is my second day so far, and I've found that 6A and ZF have been what I'm most comfortable with. First day I traded GE, and realized that watching paint dry is much more entertaining.
Hope to learn a lot of all the different traders here.
Hello and thanks for letting me join the forum. Not new to trading but new to using Ninja Trader. Hope to learn a few things on this powerful trading platform and share some thought and ideas with strategies on futures. Using the advance trading management strategies in Ninja Trader 8 are a must and especially good for keeping disciplined which removes emotions. That means there is more time to focus on other things rather than worry about every single tick. I've made about every mistake there is to make in regards to trading in my 16 years but consider all of them meaningful lessons. The market has a way of teaching valuable lessons if you are willing to learn.
I am Caro. I am a beginner in stock future and currency future market. I am looking for a trading platform, broker and data feed provider. My requirement is that I want to trade futures and options on one platform. If you can help me with a tip, I would be very grateful.
I have been studying the markets for many years. lost lots in equities and got frustrated when companies would go belly up overnight with accounting scandals or some other reason. wanted to remove the individual company risk and gravitated to index futures. practiced with demo accounts and did quite well but when i funded and traded for real money i seemed to blow up fairly quickly with relatively small amounts of capital ($10,000). back to the drawing board and more practice and testing of theories. i now am with AMP and recently stumbled on a lot of bad press about their business. its one thing to lose money because you made a bad trade but quite another to lose trust in the clearing firm. of course they have lots of positive comments to so right now I dont know if I can trust them. to be honest i'm thinking i might pull the plug on it altogether. can anyone on here make an honest comment on their experience with AMP? are they not governed by any regulatory body? ive heard of phantom trades, refusal to return money in the account, etc.
I would appreciate any replies relative to AMP futures.
Andrea F from Italy. Started studying how to trade a couple of years ago, still struggling for survival. CME futures only, still discretional, but aiming to automate some strategy in a near futures (used to be a programmer years ago...).
Bye
Andrea
Just finding this forum recently as I am about to begin my journey in trading. Saw this forum referenced in some Youtube videos and commentaries written by experienced traders and newbies like myself. I have been reading some trading books and attending venders webinars for different trading platforms and methodologies, so I am still evaluating everything, but feel that futures and options may be the way for me to tiptoe into the markets. Open to suggestions and teachable, but also not afraid to investigate things for myself. Nearing retirement and know I need to take charge of my own accounts to get to where I need to be for the long run ahead. Wish me well!
I have traded stocks and Forex. I think this site is amazing and I have been reading lots of stuff here without even registering. I would like to trade ES and have been on a demo with AMP for the last 1 month.
I'm new to all of this. Ive been "trying" to trade stocks for about 4 yrs. with not a lot of success . I just read some books and opened an account and ran smack into the phycology of it all and made one mistake after another all along trying to juggle trading with my day job. its not working I'm getting worse at both. My interest in futures is many but the fact they trade 24hrs a day and I can do it at home separate from my job is a big plus. My main goal right now is to learn RIGHT, and PRACTICE RIGHT and avoid all the bad habits Ive acquired at this point.. I would sure appreciate any helpful tips to help me structure this goal.. Thank you
