I have been trading commodities,fx and stocks (only started equities recently) for over 5 years. I have had mixed results, with periods of gains followed by losses (greater in magnitude). Hope to share my insights and gain some useful tips in my trading journey.
thanks,

HI, I plan trade to futures sometimes in near future, I came across this site by accident to be frank with everyone, but I have a good feeling about being a member of it already. I have been trading forex for several years and enjoying it. I have engineering background therefore I have been able to develop some indicators that help me with my trading as well. I am always open to learning more and find trading very exciting.
Study and learn. I recommend finding a style that fits your personality and time frames, perhaps swing trading or day trading the 24 hour futures markets.
Finding a style that fits you and works is the key in my opinion. You have to be comfortable with the risk and how the system or method comforts you. Strange word, comfort but you have to believe and feel right with what you trade and how you trade it in order to move ahead.
Good luck!
Introducing myself as I've been a fan of futures.io for a few months now and thought I'd join.
I've been trading full-time for about a year and as of the last two weeks or so, I am confident in saying that I've finally become profitable.
I scalp for ticks and very small swings / ranges - I primarily use Sierra Chart and a lot of my own software (mostly Python). I spent most of my first few months building a lot of machine learning (Scikit - numpy - pandas etc.) software, to no avail. It wasn't until I decided to stare at the DOM for hours that I really started to understand what was happening.
Been reading this forum off and on for about a month and decided to create an account because a lot of the attachments weren't visible unless I signed up.
Here's a quick story you all might find interesting. I got into stocks for the first time 4 months ago. By reading forums like this and watching videos on youtube, I taught myself enough to feel comfortable trading futures. Started on TOS paper trading and was averaging about 2k a session (about 30 minutes) using 4 contracts at a time. I've had just 2 losing days so far, $700 one day and 4k the other. No excuses but I wouldn't count one of those days personally. Just about ready to trade live and thinking about going with either CQG Q or Tradovate. Looking to clear at least $300 a day in profits to start and then work my way up from there.
Im an electronic engineer still working as risk manager by 20 years for several companies in Europe and Middle east in the enrgy market ... had never trading online and I ha never hold a real position..but Ive traded a lot with real people and real companies big and smallcap, gaining and losing a lot of money. Im here to learn and exchange experience with forum members to have different points of view and to optimize my learning curve. Thanks for tips Mike!

Joined Futures.io like 1 1/2 years ago but never posted anything. I am a swing trader trading mostly under $10 stocks and trade JNUG, occasionally JDST. Glad to be part of this community.
Hi,
I have been a F&O trader in the process of learning the ropes. I have not blown out huge amounts. But yes i have blown enough money in the last four years and i have not been profitable till date.
I hope to use this forum to both enrich myself and in the process share my learnings as well. Thank you.
Happy to be here with such an amazing platform and people and am really glad to join.
I haven't blown my account yet but am here to learn and start on the journey as well.
What an experience that await's me and i will be grateful to all your positive vibes.
