just joined this forum. I have been trading on and off since 1999. Wanted to join this forum to become a better trader, control my emotions and focus on futures trading. Looking forward to learning and helping out.
Hello Traders, new to Futures IO and a novice trader. Just trying to soak it all in. I appreciate Big Mike, this site and what the team is doing for the trading community. Thanks so much. Still digging in.
I trade for at least 5 years. My methodology remain solid gradually. Having a mentor to guide is very important, just like a coach or instructor to a new soldier. Lack of systematic training as a professional is a main block from being a trader of stable profit making. So finding a good teacher to follow & copy his practice & repeat 10 thousand times. Then the success will be get beside me.
I joined the forum a few days ago, after researching whether or not someone/thing was a scam... My apologies, it's been an eventful week and now, for the life of me, I can't seem to remember who it was or how that research led me here. I'm not really even sure that the semantics matter, though.
What matters, is that I found my way here. Period.
Thank you, Mike.
Thank you for this. Thank you for being you.
I'm only on Page 4 of reading through the intro-threads, but I can already see where I am very different from everyone else.
I'm literally starting from absolute zero, and I'm only just beginning to find my way around in terms of studying and learning how this all works.
I have *1* free stock, that I gained as a reward for joining Robinhood. I've been attempting to learn what I can about Options, to see what I could do with the $20 in my bank account to nudge that up a little bit... and that was my basic battle plan. Nudge, cash out, buy two stocks (or a better stock), nudge, cash out, buy four stocks (or better stocks)...
My financial goals are... insanely low to the ground and simple, right now. I'd like to be able to afford some personal items that would improve my quality of life.
I've been smushed under the weights of both mental and chronic invisible illness for a long time, and thus I'm currently surviving for my most basic needs via support. I had a whole buncha trauma on top of that too (with the associated (additional) mental illnesses and physical ailments).
This past February, I began an intensive process of erasing my traumas, and as a result, the associated mental illnesses and physical ailments cleared right up as well.
So... I'm BETTER... but, probably about as good as I'm going to get.
Better, at least, where my day to day tasks can be about more than just the basic needs of self-care that it took for me to survive for so long.
Now, I'm ready to try to do something with myself.
If I can get my shit together enough, I can start using my investments and knowledge of investing as seed money and some one-on-one time to help others who are in similar circumstances.
I'm tired of living in a broken world where the only way that anyone seems to get ahead is by throwing everyone else under the bus.
I want to do my part to help change that... that was the system that broke me... I kinda wanna break the f~ck out of it right back.
So... heh. That's my story.
I'm dearly looking forward to getting to know everyone.
