Nope, that's not correct (unless they changed that recently). I've recently downloaded historical data from MB Trading into NinjaTrader. If I remember correctly, around 30 days of tick data and around a half year of minute data were available.
I was using MB on ninja for a while as well for FX data. It allows up to 30 days of tic data for backfill I believe. It works ok, except every once and a while I would get those spikes of data that would run my range bars sideways for a long while. These weren't actual trades, I would just get these spikes of data that would come with no rhyme or reason.
Agreed. The spikes are aweful. They normally occur around big news releases.
Something else; There are major issues with carrying forex trades through rollover when using MB and NT7. There are spikes of data here as well. Like the Euro losing half its value during rollover. NT tries to execute your stop and all hell breaks loose: Strategy crashes, you get 14 error boxes telling you it failed. Then it closes out your position once you get through the error boxes.
This is a quote from a NT account manager regarding this issue: "I can say that our MBT solution is not our best so I don't know if you could try use with Interactive Brokers or another provider."
