Please some one help. I would like to make a channel with two MA's one to calculate on the high of the price bar the other one to calculate on the low of the bar. I would like channel to look as support and resistance. Does any one know how to do that with Ninja. Thank you for your help. Gregory

Probably something out there already.

But do you mean actual MAs with a period, or do you just mean a lines going through the high and low of the bar?

In the presentation thay are talking about smooth moving average

with top of the channel=5 period High
with bottom of the channel =5 period Low

I do not know how to make this in Ninja

I can make it in Ensign since I can set how to calculate my MA in Ensign.

If you know how to make this in Ninja please help

So you don't actually care that the lines are AT the highs and lows then right? You just want a channel surrounding price?

If you apply a MA to the highs and lows, they won't appear AT the highs and lows, but somewhere near it.

Does the keltner not accomplish that?

Yes you are right. I made it with Keltner and does look ok. So thank you for your help. U just confirmed I was in the right direction.

If I want SMMA (smooth) 5 High and Low on Ninja, what settings on the KeltnerChannel would this be?
And would this tweak be the excat duplication for the SMMA 5 High & Low?
If not, there has to be something coded already for Ninja, I would think, right?

I have an indicator that will plot a colored 'channel' using any selected moving average (including SMMA) plotting one edge of the channel based on the High and the other edge based on the Low. Color, opacity, etc. are configurable. I think I posted it a long time ago on Ninja Support, but I can put it here as well if you still need something like that.
