I've been having problems paper trading with TOS for the past several weeks. I know Massive and a couple others of you use TOS as your trading software and was wondering if you're are having the same issues.
When I right click the chart to set a custom buy/sell, either with a limit, limit stop, or OCO order ) doesn't matter which one I choose.... the order fills automatically, seemingly setting it's own limits/stops. Previously, when it was working, I'd get a pop-up window at the bottom of the screen where I could set my trailing stops, etc. and then click to send the order.
I'm thinking this is a software issues because I can't see that I'm doing something wrong, nor clicking something in the wrong order.
I was also wondering if TOS has a way to "replay" the day's market action as another way of learning (without having to open a live account, which I can't yet afford).
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

This is just a short general list and doesn't cover everything. If you are unsure where to create your new thread, just create it in Traders Hideout and a moderator will move it if necessary.
Sounds like you may have auto send on.
If not, tdameritrade is working out some bugs from the switch last week which may
be the culprit.
If you want to replay the day (not the same day but previous day) you can use the on demand feature
by signing into the live account and then hitting 'ondemand' in the upper right hand corner.
The issue I have with TOS is CPU/memory performance. I display 4 to 8 charts (15 mins) and the software hangs and a message of performance problem comes up. Also, if your account is not live, it is 20 mins delayed quotes.
As far as replay function, NT7 has it and you can download for free.
Okay Mike, "for the benefit of future members", it's true... I'm a doofus. It was a good month's worth of operator error. As Massive said, I had the "auto send" box checked and that was cancelling the ability to set trailing stops, limits, OCO's etc. So long as I'm learning from my mistakes, I'm okay with making the mistake.
