I've got a great blog I'm reading. It's written by a medical doctor who's also a trader. He explains how we're genetically wired to do things that are good for our survival but not good for trading. He explains the chemicals released by the brain and how getting a reward for bad behavior will reinforce the behavior. An example from my trading was I used to move stops to "give it more room" (and I still do sometimes). All it takes is that it works a few times and then it's a habit and then one day you get a big loss, huge if you don't take it right away. So that's one example. He also talks about how stress affects our judgement. It's a great read.

It's no longer active and you'll want to read it in order, it's a blog but written as a book:

Let me know if you enjoy it. I'm reading it on my iphone whenever I have free time (on the train, waiting for something, etc.)
