I have not iqfeed.
You can remove any doubt?
Can I connect my login on two real-time software at the same time?
Can I download the data at the end of the day that I do not pay the real-time?
For the futures data are Open daily endo-of-day High Low Close (Last Trade), or settlement price?
thanks
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
it is possible to have multiple software applications working with IQFeed client on single machine.
it is possible to download historical data (or get delayed realtime) for the exchanges you're not subscribed to
I don't understand last question either.
1. On a single computer, you can connect to multiple platforms simultaneously/concurrently with a single license of IQFeed.
2. I'm not familiar with all the options. I use the normal feed, which is real time + backfill. There are no limitations. If you are using something like "DTN MA", I believe there may be restrictions. You should ask IQFeed. Otherwise, for the normal services advertised on their site, you can download full historical data on a daily basis (all their servers have) after market hours. During market hours you can only download 7 days I think, to prevent the load on their servers from going high.
It it possible to connect as many software or charting programs as your PC can handle. I connect NinjaTrader and Multicharts at the same time to my IQFeed. This can be done on ONE PC only, network access on different machines is not allowed (and not possible so far as I know).
You can get history or delayed data on every instrument that IQFeed offers. Use your charting software to do backfills or if you need more convenience, get a copy of Qcollector: https://www.mechtrading.com/qcollector/dtn/index.htm
This is IMHO the best software to build your own pool of tick data.
Yes, I used to connect Quotetracker and Ensign together but you have to pay extra for each extra platform that connects. Use the IQFeed wizard on the company's website to figure out the cost.
I do not understand the question but IQFeed is subscription based and it includes historical data.
You have to pay DTN to use their stuff. No freebies.
I used to use their futures feed. I believe it does include this information but it will depend if your platform can display this information. The futures feeds were pricey on top of all of their other fees.
If you want a low cost alternative, open an account with ThinkorSwim (or TD Ameritrade). They have some free futures stuff on there: quotes, charts, Ben squawk, etc... The only downside is that it lags a bit during heavy trading so I would recommend that you execute futures orders only with a futures broker but use the free tools that ThinkorSwim offers.
