It looks like a polynomial regression. Those indicators typically repaint, that means they will adjust to price after the fact. I would be quite reluctant to use any polynomial regression indicator for my trading.
"Today I saw some videos of Mostafa Belkhayate on YouTube and saw him using an indicator called Center of Gravity. It's not the Ehlers CoG (Osc). I found this Indicator here on this board called as "Polynomial Regression Bands". It looks identical. But all versions which I found are repainting the past. Is this a mathematical thing, which makes it impossible not to repaint? Because I can't imagine that this guy or any other is using an indicator which repaints. "
This is the key question.
It is not that a repainting indicator cannot be used. It is just that it shows impressive results only after the fact, as the bands adjust retroactively. The NinjaTrader linear regression channel indicator and also the version which I have posted do the same thing. The simple LinReg does not repaint, you can trust it
As a rule of thumb: If she looks to good, she is not real, wait until you are sober again.
I have checked the internet and found a decompiled version of the MetaTrader 4 code. This could be used as a base to reverse-engineer the indicator. But actually I do not think that it is worth doing so. You can take a simply polymomial regression indicator, add some fib bands, and you will get something very similar.
You can put the modified Regression Channel (default period 50) and the LinReg default indicator of NinjaTrader on a chart. The LinReg will then show the trajectory of the last point of the regression channel. To compare just scroll your chart back horizontally. See chart attached.
