There is really no benefit of always having the last release of any software. This includes TWS.
Often the last version is creating trouble, so I do understand that NinjaTrader follows the TWS release with some pre-caution. After all, the only thing I want, is stability.
I never upgraded my PC to Vista, but directly switched from XP to Windows 7. Do I regret of not having updated to Vista?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
@michaelf Thank you for starting this thread, I'm always the last to know things like this. If it works don't fix it, but when it doesn't, I need it fixed right now! This thread was very helpful.
@Fat Tails Thank you for this post, a huge time saver. I learned (the hard way) to disable the TWS auto update pop-up.
Probably nothing is guaranteed, but at least NinjaTrader developers have tested NinjaTrader 7 Release 9 against TWS 921.5. This means that there is a higher probability that it will work correctly than for the later versions, which have not been tested.
have any of u guys ever tried to interact with IB "customer service"? they should have a disclaimer that dealing with them might lead to "suicidal thoughts or actions", just like on the drug adverts. NT probly has to force themselves to interact with the IB people is my guess.
