Year 2013 and 2014 up to current week with GFIs1 system this year here:
Last year the results were much smoother over time - this year the summer brought
some long thirst time to be interrupted suddenly by a sharp gain.
Over all the results over a year is comparable and reaches the same amount (like
year 2012 too - which is not charted here).
Dax still near the upper resistance (cloud bottom in the daily Ichimoku).
Some indecision in the market - end year rally not really in sight.
Sitting @ 61% fib (9304) at the moment.
Hi there, I noticed that you now only do the 3 trades per week.As of 2015 are you going to revert back to 5 trades per week, as for 2014 the greatest movement days have acually been Tuesday and Thursdays.Just a thought.
Thanks @CPRICE76 for this input.
My dropping of Tuesday and Thursday is quite a while back (somewhere to find in this thread). This was
a good decision as I got two more free days without any pressure. As the results did not really change
at the balance end of year I can say these two days were not changing much over the year.
But your input is good - even this year we had some very nice moves exactly on Tuesday and Thursday.
I might change a rule (needs some work to look back) to consider trading on these two days - but let
the other weekdays at the sidelines. My intent is not to trade more.. but less with a better result.
Optimizing it is the goal.
Ah thanks.Probably best to trade just the 3 days of the week then. After all as the saying goes " Less is often more"??
The key to your trading is not the fact that you charting skiils are productive but the oldest rule in the book " Cut losers fast and let your winners run"?? And also do not overtrade!!
Correct??
Today's call was clear - the stop of 30 points my optimized maximum.
It had been hit! By FIVE points!
Obviously some bigger players made that tremendous pullback in the
midst of the morning which triggered exactly that stop too.
Stepping out at 15:30 when price ended @ 9204 (+81 points if stop would not
be sitting within 30 points)... gave instead a MINUS (stoploss) of 30 points...
THAT IS TRADING
No need to change any rule here as that is part of the game.
The rules are optimized too to press the most points out of every day.
