Both the European and the US session can be traded. For the European Session you would either select the open at 7:00 AM GMT or 8:00 AM GMT (London time). For the US session you can either select 8:00 AM EST or 8:20 AM EST.
The New York FOREX market opens around 8:00 AM EST, the official regular session for 6E starts at 7:20 AM CT (8:20 AM EST).
An alternative to looking at the opening range, would be to use the SessionNoiseBands with the European or the US session. They are pretty efficient to locate breakout points.
