I know a large number of you have purchased MultiCharts based on my personal recommendation, or based on discussions made on NexusFi (formerly BMT).
It is because of this that I feel responsible, which leads me to making this post to inform you of some changes.
I do not want to get in to private discussions between myself and Dennis and Stan at MultiCharts, but the net result is MultiCharts felt that there was not enough support from me or the community for them enough to justify their presence on the site.
MultiCharts has informed me they will stop posting on NexusFi (formerly BMT) and stop supporting or participating on NexusFi (formerly BMT) in any way. I do not understand this decision, and most certainly do not agree with it. But it is their product and their decision, and I was unable to change their mind.
Thanks for letting NexusFi (formerly BMT) users know...
I never made it past the first steps of giving the product a serious try, I did not get the impression that they are using a customer/user based model and gave up pretty quickly ... just my own limited experience
could be the biggest thing since sliced bread for all I know but they lost me at hello
I predict that they will either not last the test of time or realize that getting to know your customer is first priority....
if it's the latter
give 'em one these

I don't understand MC leaving NexusFi (formerly BMT) either, it's a great source of potential customers that were previous Tradestation users, looking for something with better support or NT users that were tired of fighting the much less intuitive "C" language, to code simple studies.. Easylanguage used in MC is a great solution for traders that are NOT programmers,..that's what brought me to the MC platform.. Over time, the MC group will grow...what does it cost them to drop in for an hour on a Saturday, to answer some questions for potential or existing customers ?
There were quite a few reasons why I finally purchased MC a few weeks back, and one, albeit a minor one compared to the others, was their presence here.
Not sure what is meant by not enough support from you / us... Interest in the MC platform has been strong on NexusFi (formerly BMT). Of the many platform discussions here, it is consistently the 2nd most viewed of them all.
I suppose maybe their hands are full on their own forum or maybe if they continued to post here, they might somehow feel such an obligation on like forums... Private discussion, so I'll let it go.
No offense and not trying to open a can of worms but the reasons for this withdraw seems pretty clear to me:
- They want to grow the own forum which has been traditionally very quiet (at least when compared to NT, SC, AB or TS), spreading their resources even thinner to support NexusFi (formerly BMT) does not make too much sense
- Anyone who is part of NexusFi (formerly BMT) for some time (I am not an active member) will quickly notice a strong bias towards NT (not suggesting the bias is from you Mike), just judging based on the number of NT threads, indicators, etc... Mike has done a good job of trying to revert it but the NT crowd seems pretty loyal (despite some of the key problems)
I could think about 2-3 additional reasons but you get the idea ... cheers
with the short term realized feature of true C# compatibility--- i do notunderstand the break with a forum that has a very high and quality count of C# indicator/strategy script developers!?
OK, currently here on NexusFi (formerly BMT) is C# = "Ninja"... if MC8.x better then is a good potential to "simple" recode any tools to MC8... only now without official "comperable" support in "one" forum this is not the best way for acquire good "open" coders for MC8.x
For compare: the official NT support forum is restricted by comercial and non public rules -> the quality of requested and published content is very low... with hard words: not more as beginners questions and error/missing features reports.
