Hello,

has anybody make some experience with the colocation services with mirus futures? There speak about "Dedicated Servers" and about "Virtual Machines" without labeling the costs. Perhaps someone could address the costs and some details about the infrastructure and location.

Thanks,
Koepisch

I haven't had any experience with them but I have with SpeedyTradingServers | leasing trading virtual private servers | SpeedyTradingServers and they are great and anyone who has been with nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) for any time at all knows the owner, @sam028. Take a look at

Yep, I can't agree more...and since @sam028 is providing not only a great and reliable service, he usually treats nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) Members nicer than others (he claims that at least)...

Thanks all so far,

my question is very specific to the mirus offer. I've examined the colocation services at Aurora and Equinix from Sam, Steadfast, Advantage Futures, Velocity Futures and EOTPro and all offerings have their value. Mirus claims that their colocation is located behind the DMZ and close to the zenfire servers. That could be an minor advantage, but i don't know WHERE the Colo-Servers are located in detail. I want to use 2 different Colo-providers to spread the infrastructure risk a little bit more.

It's also because NexusFi (formerly BMT) members treats me better than if I was an anonymous vendor .

About @Koepisch question, whatever the providers, if you're only trying to limit the risks, you just need to know where they are located to avoid having the same SPOF (Single Point Of Failure) for both providers.
Being just 1 hop before the DMZ or 5 hops won't dramatically change the latency and the fills, IMHO.

Currently still no mail response from mirus. Perhaps @mirusfutures knows more...
