It appears many are using NT7. Is it possible to have both versions installed and run at the same time or separately? Thanks!

Yes!

Go to your Program Files\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin directory, and rename NinjaTrader.exe to NinjaTrader65.exe.

Then change your desktop icon and/or quick launch icon to point to the new target, or create a new shortcut by right-clicking on NinjaTrader65.exe and hit create shortcut, then drag that shortcut to your desktop and/or your quick launch bar.

Now you can run NT6.5 and NT7 simultaneously. Keep in mind, if you use Zen Fire, you can only connect once by default. You'll have to email your broker and ask them to enable two simultaneous connections.

Mike

There has been an earlier post in this forum to do it the other way (i. e. renaming NinjaTrader7.exe instead of NinjaTrader.exe); and that's what I've been using for some time now. So, I need to start the NT7 first before I launch NT6.5.
