Certain specific question should be asked on MC forum since many of them might be already answered and if not, the staff and other users will be there to help.
MC staff does not monitor this forum.
Also, any problem you have you can go to the live chat where they connect to your PC and see what the problem is.
Regarding your
CQG question, see it here.
CQG -- Using [AUTOLINK]MultiCharts[/AUTOLINK] 8.5 Release
Thanks, I already read that and look at the forum but not much info on the starter edition. The connection procedure should be the same but you never know.
I'll ask on that forum.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?

Thanks for this. I am going to download and have a look.
I am still gutted I missed out buying the full .net version last summer at $497. Even on special now it costs $1297.

For what I see here, the SE QuoteManager is identical to the standard version. The Data Sources settings are all identical so if a setting is working on the standard version it will work on the SE version.
You must be missing some setting there.

Just for the record, you can get MultiCharts Discretionary Trader 8.5 (build 109) from AMP for free and it works with CQG .
Cheers

Yea, look what happen to Multichart Discretionary Trader.
Was free then they kill it. Reason they say they cant spend time to support it
Quoting
We had another free product last year called
MultiCharts Discretionary Trader, which was discontinued after a year of existence because we felt it wasn’t enough for traders. We underestimated the amount of custom analytics that people were using, and MCDT never took off because you couldn’t create anything custom. We did some more brainstorming and came up with a new way of serving small cap investors with a professional platform – MC .NET Starter Edition where you can create complex scripts in C# and Visual Basic (even using Visual Studio).
Quoting
This platform is here to stay, forever. It’s completely free, so download away and start charting, analyzing, sharing and even trading. Give it to all your friends, colleagues, bosses and family, maybe even your dog or cat . Upload it to to any site, blog, Twitter and anywhere you like – spread the goodness around! The more people use MC .NET Starter Edition, the larger the community will be, and you can talk to more and more traders, and have more developers on hand.

I'm confused about the limitation on two securities at the same time.
Can one still do portfolio backtesting with such a limitation ?
Edit - two securities at a time applies so the answer is you can only backtest two at a time

volume profile indicators?
Only volume profile indicators.
They don't have market profile but I advise all interested in this to request them such tools.
The more requesting it the easiest it will be for them to build it.
