Webinar: Ernest Chan on Leading Risk Indicators and Order Flow
Risk is always and has been so since the early days, the FIRST consideration for the wldman. But it is totally okay that in general most retail business does not understand. There is not usually as much low hanging fruit these days. Nothing like you or many others here but each time I try in general or with a specific person I get bid back right away...to which I now just say "sold"
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Great webinar from researcher and practicioner in one!
Gave me something to think about + included references to proper research being done on the topic.
As an example - Richard Lyons and his research on Order Flow in currency markets - for free working papers go to: Richard K. Lyons at IDEAS
I sent Ernie some charts showing the huge discrepancy between SPY and ES with cumulative delta. Will follow-up after he responds.
Most other instruments don't have this discrepancy, but not too many of them have direct counterparts from ETF to futures to really do a side by side comparison.
Thank you Big Mike and Ernest Chan for for putting on this webinar, really enjoyed it. There were a few nuggets I took away from it such as Ernie's comments on utilizing VIX to reduce risk; and really enjoyed his study on Forex vs. Futures' risk vs. return for mean reversion strategies.
I'm looking forward to what he says about this.
Thanks again guys and I look forward to watching the many other recent ones as I like to take some time to digest content.
I have heard back from the winners and I have sent the info to Ernie. He will sign the books, and mail them back to me. I will then mail them to their final destination. Total ETA ~3 weeks.
