I signed up for CTD two weeks ago and did not get access to the videos until 24 June 2013. Technically I am still on week 1, moving onto week 2, but have watched and put the concepts up to week 6 into practice to get a further understanding of what I've been watching. I've gone back and re-watched anything I did not understand but ran into a concept while in a trade.
My trade reports from trading Natural Gas from the last 4, 10 day cycles.
They are decent numbers as it is, but I only knew as much as I did to put those numbers up and felt my development was hitting a ceiling and could not figure out what I needed to do to get past this hurdle.
I've spent the last 15 years to get to the point which I have and did not want to spend another 15 trying to figure out what I did not know.
Turns out after watching week 2, Price Action and Swings, I applied those concepts the next day and I was able to put myself in position to double my average win to +45 ticks per contract. Why I did not get +40 ticks, was because I did not know about the concept of Space as a target and where I had my target was "unreachable" with ease by the market.
Once I got a taste of the concepts and understanding, I wanted to apply them into real time trading to get a further understanding of how to use the concepts and if I am using them incorrectly. The stuff is like crack! Get a taste for it, you want to go back for more! I still go back and re-watch anything I truly do not understand, you are only hurting yourself by not understanding the concepts and knowing how to apply them in real time markets.
They want you to go slow, understand and comprehend the concepts, that is why they have a quiz at the end of each week and you need a 90% pass grade to move onto the next week. Why I "jumped" ahead was having the experience I have, I was missing something that I did not know about and that not knowing was a true understanding of Price Action and Price Action alone. I thought I knew, but truly did not. Recognizing a price pattern but not knowing the price action behind it, is what I was missing.
I have posted my experience and the concepts I am learning through my journal and is open for all to read and criticize. Don't worry, you won't hurt my feelings by being critical. No one is more critical than myself on myself.
Everything stated on the intro page and video is true. You will learn the foundation concepts and apply them immediately to your current trading ideas and plan and you will even see the inconsistencies in your current plan. I
Isn't our goal to be consistent so we can do this for a living?
This is by far the best money I've spent on my trading education as I've pissed away alot of money to get to this point. Buying indicators is the easy way out, selling indicators is easy money for the vendors. Teaching someone to understand what it means to be a trader is not easy at all nor it is an easy sell, but everyone wants the results to be easy. Buy when this indicator says this, sell when it says that.
To name a few of where I've spent my money thinking they could help was:
Trade the Markets (I've paid Hubert to learn how to trade gold)
Order Flow Edge (the dude who runs the room way too sensitive, I made a comment about what he was doing, someone else was doing the same thing)
Rockwell Trading (complete scam!)
Trade Bond Futures (Jack's a really nice guy, love him to death, but would not divulge his secrets of how he gets his levels) I have a good idea of how he does it, that's week 7 of the Course, in my opinion.
Heck I'll even admit to buying Forex Made Easy.
The other course I've taken is Ray Burchett's Intuitive Development for Traders (IDT) Program, which is also offered through TSTU, but I was introduced to Ray through Infinity when they held a webinar, which is how I was lead to TST.
The best thing to ever happen to me was signing up to TST, thinking I could pass a combine based on the knowledge I had at the time. Boy was I wrong.
First Combine
First Combine Roll Over
I failed my last Combine cause I was trading the NQ when my mind was already set on switching to the NG. This was the roll over Combine.
TST is the best thing to ever happen to me for my development!
My latest 10 day cycle Trade Report. The first 3 days of the cycle, I was still trading with my own knowledge and tried to trade the same way with a 2 lot to see it the results would be Combine passable to get funded.
I'm still figuring out how to put the concepts together from a couple of their strategies from the Junior level material.
So far, I'm really liking the Piercing Trend Line trade.
I still don't understand the process. The website has no useful info on the process, and the vendor thread is just too large and no systematic posting of how it goes. I would really like to know spelled out abc, the costs, etc.
Is anybody trading their methodology live allready? Because I bought the course. And I am interrested if somebody has sucsess in live trading with the approach.
I have purch course as well.
Still in Freshman section.
How I've benefited thus far is incorporate Candlestick math and concept of
space in my trading setups.
Very good elements keeping me in a slow sideways trade and a way to determine
profit targets using price action.
Will be starting $30k TopStep combine next week and journaling my progress:
Greetings.
I want to share with you my trading trials and tribulations on moving forward being
a professional Day trader.
I've chosen to use Right Line Trading methodology to accomplish this task.
I want to make this a positive area to help others …
