Hi there,

Well I am sure most of you have heard of the revered Bulkowski, one of the foremost experts at technical analysis.

I am thinking of using his Patternz software.

Has anyone ever used it and is it accurate?

Thanks,

I have used the software.

It was difficult to use in Windows Vista. (I now have windows8). I had an XP install on that laptop and I could use it only in XP mode.

The software itself catches a lot of price patterns. It should be treated as an educational tool which is what Bulkowski suggests.

Data is required in ASCII and only end of day.

do not use Ninja so cannot answer this question. Usually, it is easy to save data as an ASCII file which can be accessed by Patternz.

However, I do not think Patternz is designed to trade any one security. The software runs a scan and identifies chart patterns currently in development. It is a chart pattern scanner, mainly. It is an excellent educational tool.

What time frame you used when trading with Patternz?

Were you on the intraday charts?
