installed some windows updates and the result was that NT would not open. sent a mail to ninja support and within 15 minutes was skyping with ninja support staff and we had it fixed shortly after.

my only gripe was that this was a known issue with a windows security update--would have been nice to have a heads up before installing it.

they couldn't tell me the reason that this particular security update caused problems

but is was security update patch KB2836988--i had to uninstall it then reboot--and ninja worked again
