Any recommendations on the best, user friendly, online broker? I'm a new trader and want to go with the tried and true. Thanks

Can you stipulate what platform you are interested in using?

For futures, either Mirus Futures or AMP Futures.

I would recommend Mirus Futures, being with them for almost an year .

AMP Futures was a grotesque experience and a huge disappointment.

I've got an account with Velocity Futures

Was easy to setup and they allow "all functions" of Ninja while using simulator. Some brokers "disable" some features of Ninja when trading in sim mode, so be sure and ask about that.

Only thing is they don't provide historical data. Doesn't really bother me, because I don't do a lot a back testing or use indicators.

One option is to cut out the middle man (introducing broker) completely and get an account with an FCM. I persoanlly use Vision Financial. That way there's less admin to worry about and you can negotiate lower comms.

Vision Financial is good too...You have to pay extra for the Static SuperDOM in order to use it, though.

I have had interactive brokers, IB , and have been satisfied for the most part with them. they have a support team who answers questions, when you call IB, you get IB, not some guy who signed on to get clients. thats what i was getting several years back with J trader. i dont know if people remember the J-trader trading platform,, it was primitive, imo,, but that was back when IB had a pretty bad rap for customer service. and back then maybe it was. but it has come along way. IB may not be the best, but i like it much better than Jtrader. when i had Jtrader, the only contact was the guy you signed up with. and he was some sort of broker-trader-used car dealer who may have a doctors appnt, be out golfing, or may not want to answer a question.. with IB, you call, you get a person who is paid to take care of you as a customer.
