hi to all on bmt,i am new to this forum and have dove in to many of its videos.i have been trading for almost 2 years(futures)....use the map5 indicaters(e mini academy)there charting is excellent and education...some of there trades work and others dont.i have learned to keep things simple...i trade price action ,support and resistance,using there charts and i also enter trades based apon there indicaters but not always.i just a few weeks ago hooked up with peter davies and his jigsaw trading order book indicaters....i have listened to many of peters videos and i am learning the order book.i believe in consentrating on just a few simple things....i follow the es and ym mainly...i mostly trade the ym.i enter even # of contracts sell half when it starts going my way and other half when it feels rite or when my trailing stop gets hit...dont get GREEDY set a realistic weekly profit target,based upon the #of contracts traded(example,2 contracts 500.00 a week)when you hit your weekly target play defence if you want to keep trading.i have a max trade limit of 4 trades each day(the more you trade the more you loose)2 stop outs in a row OUT FOR THE DAY...must be rigid with your rules...by being rigid with keeping the 2 stop out in a row rule you will not have a blow out day(no revenge tilt for me)my stop is 15 to 20 ticks on the ym and about 10 ticks on the es.i have been through it all like most on this forum....i have studed trading in the zone,mental game of poker and four biggest mistakes futures traders make...simple simple simple...throw out you big fancy indicators,they all lag....PRICE ACTION IS THE ONLY INDICATOR THAT DOES NOT LIE and the order book(jigsaw trading).support and resistance and many times the feel of the market.every minute in the market is unique,like a snow flake....sure there is many more details i have not talked about...passion is the one tool you will need...if you dont have passion you will most likely fail....i have owned a collision auto body shop for 28 years and it took years to get really good at what i do,trading is no different.slow and steady with many walls in the way that you have to get over...good luck to all ,hope this gives poeple a angle to trading success.todd
