So I'm currently looking for an indicator that will play a sound every time the market ticks up or down. Basically a ticker tape to get an audio feel for the market. To be clearer basically every time a new exchange of contracts comes onto the time and sales I want to hear it. Any help would be much appreciated!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Is anyone aware of an NT indicator that will play a sound alert on each new non time based bar. I found this created by Mindset but it is only for time based charts:
Im hoping something exists for Volume or Tick charts. It doesn't necessarily …
Thanks for the reply. I'm unsure though, if I use this on a 1 minute chart would it make a sound for every tick move or just when a new 1 minute bar has printed? If the later is the case I would assume it would have to be used on a tick chart. I don't think I currently have a intraday feed for a tick chart. Hmm
Attached is a zip with the indicator PriceLineWH
I think credit goes to @TheWizard
The indicator allows to have a sound on a new high or low in the current bar
for me this is very useful, as i am mostly busy with other things
I have created a bunch of wav files for all instruments (there are sites to created synthetic voice wavs
i can share them with you if you want them)
Once you get used to the indicator, you also start to get a feeling for the momentum, if the sounds
are succeeding fast, new low or new high, time to look at the chart...
but i think there is a drawback on performance
i think it spawns an external player to execute the sound
i have a super machine so i'm ok
Thanks for the mention. I modified it to play a sound when a new bar gets created. jking556 wanted a sound to play on every incoming tick (which I would find maddening!) ARRRRRRRRGH!
After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!
Ahh yes this could be what im looking for. Thanks a lot il have a look and try it out. Thinking about I think your both right a sound for every tick will get irritating and possibly even counter productive.
Hmm it appears a sound is only made when a new bar is made. @TheWizard you say you have altered this indicator to do so, does an original exist where it behaves how @rleplae has described it? (sound on every new high/low of bar)
thanks in advanced
