I'll exit the whole position at my stop or if the trend is broken.
If trend stays intact I'll take part (1/3 or 1/2) of the position off at the target.
I'll exit the rest on a trend break.
When the trade is up 1R, I move stop to breakeven.
I don't hold losers in the portfolio.
Exits are the toughest part. You end up second guessing yourself as the whether you made the right decisions.
I'm still working on a fixed set of rules so that I can answer the question, "Did I follow my plan?".
I got the cut your losers short part down fairly well. Now I'm trying to figure out how to let the winners run.
