No dog in the fight. Don't own it.

Like I said I'm interested in how other swing traders exit their trades. Always looking to tweak my exit strategy.

Why May 3rd?

Earnings announcement on May 1st.

What kind of criteria do you use to exit a swing? Can you give an example

I'll exit the whole position at my stop or if the trend is broken.
If trend stays intact I'll take part (1/3 or 1/2) of the position off at the target.
I'll exit the rest on a trend break.
When the trade is up 1R, I move stop to breakeven.

I don't hold losers in the portfolio.

Exits are the toughest part. You end up second guessing yourself as the whether you made the right decisions.

I'm still working on a fixed set of rules so that I can answer the question, "Did I follow my plan?".

I got the cut your losers short part down fairly well. Now I'm trying to figure out how to let the winners run.
