I reckon this will be the future of trading desks or anything that requires a large screen space. By the time my existing multi monitor setup is obsolete this should be a proven option.
Anyone who is using a single HD screen, we would all like to see what it looks like loaded up with information!

I think it should be but I doubt it will be. If you did a survey of how many people here have lots and lots of small monitors verses a few large monitors I think the results would be overwhelming weighted towards lots of small monitors.
Clarifying Point: I'm talking my book. I use 4x 30' monitors.
I would like to pull up more chart if I am on a longer time period chart without having to tab across. I find that I can easily lose perspective by tabbing across.
Do the 4 K monitors give you more chart or just the same chart on a bigger screen?
And would this be available on all charting platforms with regards to the extra pixel width? I am currently on Think or Swim.
I experimented with a cheap 39" seiki 4k TV as monitor with nvidia nvs 450 graphics card, which is not rated for native 4k. It works great once setup correctly, no flicker at all at 30hz. The The trick is the manufactures cable. Here's a pic 1080P vs 4k. Definitely good enough for trading. I'd like to test it with 2 monitors but the seiki 39" 4k is discountinued. i'll check ebay and craigslist for used one. Anyone want to buy 1080P monitors?
