Hey Guys,

I was wondering what procedures you guys use in the event of a power outage.

Last night the power went out here about 5 times, but currently I'm nervous about trading since I don't trust the power yet.

My procedure is to have IB on my phone to get me out of a position should it occur while trading, but that's really all I have to go on, besides having hard stops in place.

What do you guys do in the event of a power outage?

Any insight?

If you are trading from home... I have a battery pack for my computer the APC Back-UPS Pro 1300. Seems to work fine in case of an outage. My provider for my internet has a battery pack for my internet connection through Comcast AT&T.

I have a Cyberpower PFC Sinewave 1300 UPS. I read about problems with some modern computer power supply units that have true sinewave generation not working consistently with standard UPSs, battery backups. So I bought a sinewave one to be on the safe side. More expensive but I know it will continue to work with modern equipment. I am a bit vague on all the details now but I would recommend you include a bit of a search for information about sinewave UPSs before you buy anything.
