I haven't traded the Russell 2000 in awhile,
so when I went to CME.com to try and loom at the contract specs on it, I couldn't find the TF or anything similar to it
Is it no longer available and is there anything similar in the Futures department, that is close ?

There was a rumour that the eMini Russell @TF will be moving from ICE --> back to the CME sometime in 2017. Thus reuniting with it's ES/NQ/YM siblings, which would be good news. Thou I've not located any links to confirm this yet.

It's a fact that it's moving. I think if you check one of the threads complaining about ICE data feed prices you'll find an article with all/many/some of the details.

(“CME” or “Exchange”) will list E-mini® Russell 2000® Index Futures, E-mini® Russell 2000® Growth Index Futures, E-mini® Russell 2000® Value Index Futures (“Russell 2000 Futures”), and Options on E-mini® Russell 2000® Index Futures (“Russell 2000 Options”) (collectively, the “Contracts”) for trading on the CME Globex electronic trading platform and for submission for clearing via CME ClearPort.
