Do platforms impact latency? E.g. would there be a difference in execution if you were to compare xtrader to ninjatrader?

In terms of a typical retail trader, no significant difference on fills, assuming both are using optimum gateways for your region. There is however a big difference in features that act as aids and those could have significant impact depending on your trading style and needs
