So going to reduce target today after previous sessions...
08:46 ES gap up then gave back a little. Overall sentiment feels positive. Sector summary looking more red than green though right now.
08:59 My minds telling me quick SELL, but my body's telling me BUY
09:01 Trend is down
09:20 BUY @ 2,117.00
Bracket +2.25 / -2
09:27 Target Hit +2.25
P/L: +2.25
July: 23.00
Well target hit easily, annoyingly pretty much the perfect entry for going long. Ah well, retrospect. How to know the upside potential?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
08:49 Drop Gap, bounce back up to 2nd S/R. Earnings season...
09:00 Trending back up towards 1 S/R below previous close. Follow the immediate trend or the question what is going to keep holding this up?
09:07 Going LONG @ 2,109.50 Bracket -2 / + 2.25
09:38 STOP HIT
P/L: -2.00
July: 21.00
So I managed to pretty much to go LONG at the worst time, hate writing this but need to keep myself honest and reflect.
Been out of action for a few days, took a nice long weekend break. In the mean I've setup with Tradestation, had some issues with this software however running now and hopefully can trade again very soon.
So today is my first TS trade, find it's taking a bit of getting used to after ToS.
Got up a bit earlier today as wanted trade earlier in the morning session, went back to a 4 point target/stop bracket.
Couple of trades today, more just experimenting with my new found tools. I hate to get distracted like that however if I can learn something of benefit then well worth it, looking at tick charts and time and sales info. Learning a bit of easy language as I go. I didn't create a time log as got a bit distracted staring at data.
Made 2 trades today, goes against my style however I was trying out some ideas later, hence the 2nd trade.
Used a lower frame tick for actual entry and was using T&S to try and get a feel for direction.
08:38 Prepare to trade
08:40 Watching charts and Time & Sales
08:45 Feel like things are shifting to Long, Buying @ 2,101.50 Setting +4/-4
08:46 Adjusted target to +2 (Not feeling confident on +4)
09:16 Target Hit +2
P/L: +2.00
July: 31.00
So this marks the end of the July Competition, good luck everyone.
08:35 Charts open, ready for action, have stopped drawing S/R now, don't feel it's necessary now.
08:55 Feels like the tide is turning, potentially over zealous buying. Looking at going short
08:58 Short @ 2,096.50, +4/-4
09:00 Reduced target to +2
09:05 Target Hit P/L: +2.00
Today: +2.00
August: +2.00
In retrospect could have held out for that +4, happy to take gains though.
