cunparis,

can you post here the chart with marking where and why did you go in and out from the trades?

Yes, I'll do that tomorrow. We're heading out for dinner now.

Hello sukhsan,
are the vertical lines on your screenshot (post #91 on page 10) part of your indicators? or are they manually drawn...
I'm wondering if they are only drawn if you're on the correct side of the white dots of the keltner channel - or is the white dots you're referring to the ADXVMA white dots? or are there other considerations as well?

thanks,
kz

tzachi...I tried to put a chart together that resembles the one you kindly uploaded on post #61. Does this look okay to you? If it looks okay, would you mind copying the pic and making some notes of where you see potential trades and re-posting?

How about you take a try first?

Seriously the entries are easy. The problems are:

1 - getting filled. when the stoch crosses 50 it often does so very fast and you get filled 5 ticks higher (and this is on sim, I doubt fills would be better with real money trading)

2 - exits. do you take 3-4 ticks profit and run? if you do it'll go over 10 ticks and you kick yourself. do you be patient and wait for 10? If you do it'll reverse and you stop out at -10 wishing you had taken 3!

This is my experience. I'll post some of my trades this weekend..

Cunparis I see the same issues you do.. I sim'd the CL today (what a roller coaster) it makes the DAX look like a merry-go round.

Today for me went a little like this "Cool I'm up $75.00, no wait back down to break even, crap...stopped out". (all within 10 seconds)..

I agree. One thing I'm thinking of is trying a larger range size to slow it down a bit. I think 4 range is really too small for CL. 4 cents of $72 is nothing at all.

Cunparis, because of CL moving so fast, I would take a look @ 89 or 133 tick chart, it does a little better job of taking the noise out...4rng chart is way too quick to trade off from. I do have a 5 range open also, but usually take trades off my tick chart.

Hello KZ

Those yellow vertical lines are manually marked to show stoch color change and what was the color of 11R DMA.Big white dots is ADXVMA and small white dots are mid line of keltner channel
All entries are as per TZ charts ( POST 61) but only when 11R is in that way.
(you can see the entries marked on screenshot are on stepMA too.
there are 6 entries 4 entries are such where stepMA is on that side)
stoch is trigger
