Skylake builds are starting to pop up on youtube. I like this one using the i7 6700k, a GTX 980 Ti, and the Intel 750 Series SSD. He got a geekbench 3 of 19999 and the SSD got a read/write of 2.3GBs/1.0GB/s. Quite nice.
I'm looking for a less power hungry graphics card though, the GTX 980 Ti is not very green at all... not sure if I need all that power for charts.
Power for charts is definitely not a concern, but driving multiple 4K monitors is (for me). None of the ITX boards have better than DisplayPort 1.2, so there is no MST capability for multiple 4K monitors.
That means I'll be forced to get a discrete GPU anyway. Playing games is not a priority, I prefer my PS4 for that.
So I've now ordered the above parts, except for the 950 Pro M.2 which isn't shipping yet. It'll arrive on my friends commercial container, I'll have to import the Samsung 950 by air freight when it gets released (Dec 1 apparently).
Unknown at this time. All I know is the Samsung 40" 4K curved that I bought is a great display, but not a good monitor. I need DisplayPort. This display for example doesn't power down automatically, or power on automatically. I have to use the remote every time. Not the end of the world if you are using just one of them, but for more than one a real problem.
I haven't researched this again after my Samsung purchase, I will get into it next year and see what new models are released.
