Yes, I have some experience with Remek. Very nice and helpful. They use Bloodhound strategy templates, Harry's Coral filter for mean price rotation, Harry's trigger lines and unirenko or similar BH hybrid bars. The idea is to find the bottom/top in a mean rotation pullback for entry into a trend. In my personal experience I found very little edge here. Also the BH templates take way too long to switch from long to short. Not only that but they have an auto setting that I was told never to use(?). The posted trades on their blog are in sim mode only and are quite obviously selected. I have no affiliation or interest in this company or it's representatives. Hope this helps.
Hi Wilson619, As an old Aztec from long ago I thank you for your reply. Very helpful. I can see many of the futures.io indicators in the strategy but I'm bloodhound "challenged" and that would be the only reason for me to engage with their strategy. Looks interesting, however the few BH systems that I did developed suffered from the very things you pointed out in your post.
Wilson619, did you end up abandoning Remek or did you use it enough to say whether it would be profitable? Did you find that their response on https://www.remek.ca/blog/2016/3/13/wilsons-f was fair? I am considering them, and especially like their approach to using ATR multiples for TP levels, and setting 'invisible' stops.
Hi @vickisb, interesting you should ask. I've recently given Remek a second look and now beleive it's as good or better than most of the stuff out there, if you want to use hybrid bars. I personally use NT8 (it's not made for NT8 yet but I use all the same indicators and without Bloodhound). As with any method, you must be careful not to overtrade and just go for the recommended setups and keep a positive risk/reward. You might also want to follow along with Ferenc's weekly webinars and Q&A's as he is very proactive. Keep in mind he frequently has special pricing so I would ask before you buy. Again I have absolutely no affiliation with him or Remek systems and do not receive any money or other favors.
Hope this helps,
Wilson
