I am interested mainly because it's cable so it's more fun, and because I am interested in the subject they will be discussing. Looks entertaining to me.
2nd is a lot better so hoping it keeps the writing momentum up. Better Call Saul is coming back on February 15 but this will do in the meantime. Great thing about being a trader, time to watch everything.
I've gotten so sick of the garbage on "regular cable" that I rarely watch vanilla TV anymore. Sadly, everything else requires a subscription these days, but if the quality is there I suppose that's the price you pay.
That being said - I heard about Billions a couple months ago and never got around to watching it so decided to try the Showtime 7-day free trial and literally binge watched the first 6 episodes last night and WOW - quite the show. Not sure if/how they're going stretch this beyond a single season as I don't think there's enough there for the "non-trader audience" but I hope it survives. There's a lot of "alpha" spread around in the show - male ego/hubris (and by extension, sex) is definitely central to the core of the show but I hope it doesn't just get stretched into a season-long "Wolf of Wall Street". There's opportunity here to also show how normal folks can make money "legally" rather than portray everything about trading in a negative/sleazy light.
