I'm setting up NT on a second machine so I can code with my laptop. Should I replace the default Documents/NinjaTrader 7/ folder and subfolders with those from my existing setup, or do I need to be more selective?

After setting up, I'd sync NT7/bin/custom/indicator, NT7/bin/custom/strategy and various files from /bin/custom - in particular the NinjaTrader.Custom.sln file used by Visual Studio.

Depends what you want to do.

Do you want both machines to run at the same time ?
Then it might be a better idea, to have your first one with your real license and you second
one with a cheaper license just to do sim/testing ?

The license and connections are in the config.xml

The directory also contains the DB, which you might not want to copy between machines...

Why not simply using the Ninja backup/restore function?
