Hi everyone, fairly new here but I want to be accountable and doing so, help myself and help others.
This is not my first conbiine, I have been in and failed Funded Trader Preparation twice.
Money invested up to date in the combine is way less than money lost in my two years of trading.
Experience gained in discovering where my edge is, what trading method suits me best, what my attitude has to be, how I can repeat my mistakes until it hurts my pocket and my heart and insist in doing the same until I said ENOUGH ( would you believe?) is unvaluable.
If it is a scam, well done TST, you have transformed me from an aspiring donkey to a trader-to-be. I have gained a deep knowledge of how the charts speak to me at a very low cost, which in this industry is nearly the same as "at no risk".
All these started as a curiosity, soon came to be passion and I hope to make a living of it.
I have to confess too often I have treated trading as a game, and gambled.
I have passed from trading to lose to responsible and disciplined trading.
My deep fight now (still fighting against me) is really believing that I might be right and let the winners run.I have failed and lost so many times that even the slightest gain seems like a treasure and I tend to close manually to end up on profit.
The start of the current combine has seen today my biggest mistake and my most invaluable trading lesson: I traded Crude inventories today and I am ashamed to say that allthough my entry short was a bit too soon, I was in with 5 lots and panicked, but as the trade was a correct one, I let it run but when I was up $240 I closed.
On top of that, I lost over $1.000 on the first day and have had to invest two days recovering, so I am pretty much scratch.
You all know how Crude stalled today. Should I have managed my trade, I could have made over $5.000
I hope I have been accountable enough.
More reflexions will come with time, will do my best to post as often as I can, allthough I am on a trip and not always having the means to trade/post.
Hi, I am also in the TST Combine program. Some people say it is a waste of money but I like the rules, which all seem sensible to me and a good model for how I want to trade live, and while I am not consistently profitable I limit my loss to $150 a month.
Anyway, would you mind saying why you think you could pass the Combine a couple of times but not the FTP?
Good luck with the current Combine.
Pshichology: While both are paper trading on FTP you know you are being really watched, and that killed me. Now my approach is different: I know to manage my risk and I know how to do what I do well, so nothing changes. No nerves, no panic. I know it might sound stupid but this is pretty much me..
No trading today or tomorrow, discipline rules.
I do not feel well, so that should be enough, just a cold, thats all.
On top of that, CL is going to take a few days to define and I do not expect ES to do much before NFP, soooo....bank holiday.
By the way, anyone knows how to continue my thread if I want to post a different comment every day? What do I have to do? where do I have to "click"??????
hi there, u seem u take too much for yourself. trading with 150k using and 10 cnts is extremely different from trading with 2 cnts, and if u ever pass this test, u will start trading with 2 cnts anyway..
try to wort on your risk managemet, you take too big losses and too small profits. your average winning day should be double the amout of your average loosing day, not the opposite..
