Okay.. here's another one. This one i think is important as well since it could screw everything up in terms of trading decisions to indicators.....
If you have your chart set to CME US index futures ETH, then you switch to CME US index futures RTH( this was setup on a volume chart on the ES, and this happened on the kinetic data feed), the chart doesn't show accurately the RTH, but instead shows when ninja started running. SO if RTH session starts at 6:30 pacific time, but i open ninja at 5:30 pacific time, then thats where the chart shows the open...
-So if you use volume bars, it's factoring in the pre-open session, you get completely different charts.
-If you use any type of indicators that looks for previous day OHLC, its get screwed up, giving you misleading data.
So it pretty much screw's everything up....
The way to fix it is to set it to instrument default settings.
If the chart was instrument default, then you switch to CME US index futures RTH, you won't have this problem. It only arises when you switch from extended session to RTH session.
Another reason you don't want to use ninja while its still in beta to make trading decisions...
I've posted a chart of the difference.
Hopefully they can fix this bug in the next beta release with the IQ feed problems.
Im posting the bug here as opposed to ninja's own forums since it looks like it gets more attention on this forum.... If you can't reproduce, let me know so i can send you the trace files...
I had a similar thing happen on sunday. I could not get Ninnie to reproduce after switching the session times.....I don't have the charts to post but I can confirm it happened and I use range bars.

You will observe that there is a BAR/CANDLE (in yellow color) just before my TradingTime window (black background). The yellow BAR indicates that it formed @ 4:00am(GMT+1), which was the time I shutdown NT7 and also my machine. When I woke up and launched NT7 to trade @ London Open, the BAR/CANDLE that I saw was just the one that was forming at 8:30am. The BARs/CANDLEs between 4:00am and 8:15am were missing. I use IQFeed and had expected that the bars from 4:00am(GMT+1) to 8:15am(GMT+1) to show. Could this be one of the backfill issues of IQFeed or an NT7 bug ?
If my trading technique concerns itself with the market's BID/ASK studies at the moment I'm trading (NOT many bars/candles back - see my "My Style" in my post 1 of my Diary thread here), does this NT7/IQFeed behavior pose a danger to my using NT7/IQFeed for charting/trade decision-making ?
Im kind of glad that i dumped ninja.. from the looks of it, i would have taken a loss on two trades when i shouldn't have to if i was still using it...
Im not quite sure since i don't know what time zone you're on. But this has nothing to do with IQ feed, since this happened to me on a kinetic feed, so its defenitely a ninja bug....
Are you referring to my Time Zone ? It is the same as London time at this time of the year, which is -5 hours (i. e. GMT -5) New York time. Later in the year London will be 1 hour behind my Time Zone.
